How To Think Like A Horse

The Essential Handbook for Understanding Why Horses Do What They Do.

Taffy - Owned by a Sister

I have no experience with horses and have only ridden once on a trail horse.  In fact my first thoughts about a horse when I was a child was seeing one in the pasture next door with a cow and my first logical reasoning about them was horse was boy and cow was the girl.  Well it sounded logical at the time.

As a family we know in the new system when Dorothy in resurrected she looks forward to riding horses, her favorite horse colors were palomino so who knows this may be one of her first.  We look forward to working and riding horses with her.  Imagine re-learning the skills to build horse carriages and equipment from the resurrected.  How fun it will be to feed them treats to enjoy.

Nov 14, 2018 (updated Jan13,2022) I have really enjoyed reading and watching videos about horses and look forward to the future riding, pulling and working with us.  I have enjoyed reading books such as this one I own: "How To Think Like A Horse" and watching many videos and movies on the subject.   Even learning healthy treat recipes to feed them.  One guy who seems to do well at training is Downunder Horsemanship(YouTube).  I hope in the new system that horse training will go even easier when animals are even more inclined to be under mans subjection than they are already willing to do.

I have only ridden one trail horse as a youth at a stable on the end of the street we still live on.  Jay L. and I paid for a ride led by a couple stable hands.  I found it boring as we plodded along the trail, I am sure the horses were bored as well.  They were so trail sour that we may as well have been going in a circle at a kiddie ride.  I look forward to having a horse that will consider me a friend in the new system to ride out in the open fields and travel the trails as we visit all of our Brothers and Sisters.  Will we keep horses? or will we just give a whistle when we need one and the most anxious among them come to be ridden by us?  We will soon see, for now, I am just an enthusiast awaiting the future opportunity to care for animals in whatever way we are directed.

I have played an Android game app called "My Horse" that Kathy and my Brother Craig have also played along with me.  In the game I called my horse I took care 'Dancer' and 'Prancer', horses I won in the game for gaining 10 event ribbons for each of them.   A sorry escape to keep me occupied until the opportunity to ride a horse in the future system arrives.

2021 (updated Jan13,2022) There was a Sister now in the virtual Zoom hall(during Covid) that has a horse West of Eugene named Taffy. She updates us at  the meetings about her and her antics.  She has invited us to come and meet Taffy some time and says Taffy would welcome some carrots.  But weever made it.

Jan 2022 YouTube has been a major source of horse videos and I just finished watching all the video posted by Horse  Plus Rescue Society during 2021.  I continue to watch there shows and contribute to them helping horses.  That got led me to search for any Oregon Horse Rescue Societies and what I found is Oregon Horse Rescue which is to my surprise right here on our end of town in West Eugene.  It would be cool to volunteer cleaning stalls or something to help out but they are not accept ting any.

In the new system our Mom, Dorothy really looks forward to riding horses.  Her favorite horse colors were palomino.  We look forward to working and riding horses with her.  Imagine re-learning the skills to build horse carriages and equipment from the resurrected.  How fun it will be to feed them treats to enjoy.  Paul has played an app called My Horse on their digital devices but this fails in comparison to one day to really have the opportunity to work with horses and so many other animals in the new system.

Here is a page on this site Paul wrote about pets and animals including horses.
